"To you is granted to know the mystery of the kingdom of God, but to them outside - everything exists as a parable, |
That seeing they may see without understanding, and hearing they hear, but not discerning lest they should turn and their sins be forgiven them." |
And he said to them: "Do you not understand this parable - then how will you comprehend all the parables - |
The Sower sows the Word (Seed), and there are those besides the Way, and where the Word (Scriptures) is sown - and when they have (supposedly) heard - with haste comes Satan and takes away the Word that has been sown in their heart and mind! |
And there are those who - equally - are sown amongst the rocks and when they have heard the Word in a hurry receive it with joy |
and they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while, then when tribulation and persecution comes because of the Word, hurriedly they become trapped |
And there are others that are sown among the thorns - these are they that have heard the Word - |
but the stresses of the World and its deceitfulness in its wealth causing every lust to enter within, choke the knowledge of the Word and it becomes unfruitful. |
And there are those that are sown along the Good Way - these hear the Word and accept it - and bear fruit 30, 60, 100. |
